Our Speaker
Jojo
Delos Reyes serves as the director of the Vehicle Technology & Energy
Centre (VTEC) at RRC Polytech. Jojo leads and oversees applied research
initiatives, with a specialized focus on advancing electrification and
alternative fuel solutions in the transportation sector. Jojo and his team will
provide an overview of some of their recent and active projects related to
electric vehicle conversions and low cost workplace charging options.
RRC Polytech VTEC
Manitoba is a key transportation hub, and VTEC is driving
the growth of this sector by advancing the development of both on- and
off-highway vehicle technologies. VTEC leverages the expertise of RRC
Polytech’s researchers, staff, students, and state-of-the-art facilities to
support national and international manufacturers in their pursuit of vehicle
performance innovations and technology development.
VTEC’s areas of focus include alternative fuels such as electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells, improving fleet fuel efficiency, addressing the challenges posed by extreme weather conditions, and evaluating and demonstrating emerging technologies. Specific capabilities include cold-weather and climatic testing, emissions testing, vehicle-related electronics and software development, energy conservation and alternative solutions, lightweight materials, and technology integration.
